Who We Are

Bob Benkowski is the President and CEO of DesignPlex Biomedical. With extensive experience in the medical device and biologics industry, he and his team are ready to help you with any part of the design, regulatory, or manufacturing process.  When not at work, Bob enjoys building hotrods - and anything else that has a motor.

Mike Patterson is the Chief Operations Officer of DesignPlex Biomedical. Mike is in charge of operations and strategies for DesignPlex. He has more than 25 years of experience commercializing startups in pharmaceuticals, biologics, and medical devices. When not at work, Mike loves to spend his time outdoors fly  fishing, skiing, and off-road motorcycling. 

Antonio Araujo is a Mechanical Engineer at DesignPlex Biomedical. He has a masters from UTA and as Engineering Lead, he is an integral part of the design and development process of medical devices. When not at work, Antonio loves to play golf and cheer on his Dallas Cowboys to victory.

Patricia Ringo is a Quality Control Assurance Specialist at DesignPlex Biomedical. Her primary focus is making sure we abide by Federal, State, and other regulating bodies rules regarding product quality.  When not at work, Patricia loves to watch the latest comedy and action movies.

Kathy Lewis is our Director of Operations.  She has an Industrial Engineering degree from OU and has previous aerospace and medical device experience.  She is responsible for the day-to-day manufacturing operations.  She is an avid runner, Sooner super fan stays busy taking care of her 5 kids!

Rick Terrell is a Quality Control Specialist at DesignPlex Biomedical. Rick is in charge of incoming, in process, and final inspections.  he maintains the inventory and assures traceability of all materials and components.  When not at work, Rick loves to play with his grandkids and home projects. 

Gang Wei is an Electrical Engineer at DesignPlex Biomedical. He helps to oversee and produce medical devices and ensure they are up to electrical codes. He is also in charge of the production of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and software development. When not at work, Gang loves to ticker in all things electronic - including e-bikes and all the latest electronic development kits.

Doyle Weaver is our machining expert at DesginPlex Biomedical. Doyle is an expert at designing high-quality parts for our customer's products and allows us to do much of our work in-house. If there is a part that needs to be made, Doyle can make it.  When not at work, Doyle loves to bass fish.

Arthur Mendez is an IPC certified electronic technician.  He was previously a test technician for commercial electronics had has over 20 years in the electronics industry.  Outside work he is a sports fanatic - especially football - and takes care of his dog, Penny.

Brandon Filker is an electrical engineer specializing in design transfer to manufacturing for PCB assemblies, electronics, and cable harnesses. 

Isaac is a senior mechanical engineer specializing in CAD and CAE for mechanical components and assemblies.  In his spare time he enjoys CNC woodworking and photography.
