We have engaged on over 15 cardiovascular projects including VADs, TAHs, balloon, bioabsorbable stent, direct compression and physiologic test fixtures.  The scope has ranged from electronics development, battery development, cloud connectivity, biologic interface, mechanical design, and testing for regulatory submissions.

DesignPlex has developed innovative fat grafting devices for cosmetic surgery. 

We have developed a uniquely controlled percussion device for specific therapeutic indications including stroke recovery, vocal cord therapy, and carpel tunnel relief.

We have developed the next generation metabolic cages for drug development and testing.

We have developed various battery and mains powered devices for dental and laparoscopic procedures with demanding size and space requirements.

Opsin Biotherapeutics Inc, Opsin Bio for short, is a joint venture between DesignPlex Biomedical and Nanoscope Technologies. The goal of Opsin Bio is to bring new and innovative optogenetic neuromodulation treatments for chronic pain to help bring an end to the opioid epidemic. 

An opsin is a protein that is activated by the action of light. Opsin Bio uses a revolutionary new method to mitigate pain. By using a Multi Characteristic Opsin (MCO) and targeting a specific area of the brain, we hypothesize that we can "turn off" pain at the source.

Evaheart Inc. has developed a unique blood pump for long term left ventricular support.

This is a fully functional prototype consisting of a touch screen graphic display, 3-phase sensorless motor drive, 2-wire motor driver, closed loop control with 2 pressure sensors, membrane keypad, and rechargeable li-ion battery pack. The case is 3-D printed with an industrial coating so it looks and functions like a finished product.
