Industrial Design and Human Factors

DesignPlex has the capability and expertise to perform industrial design and human factors analysis.  This is often a critical step that is performed with sketches and risk analysis prior to prototyping.  Performing the industrial design and human factors analysis helps assure your medical device will be intuitive to use and avoid patient or clinical errors.

Prototyping

DesignPlex has the capability and expertise to bring ideas to life. With our in-house machine shop, polymer shop, rapid prototyping machines, and interdisciplinary team, we have the capability to create fully functional prototypes that are effective tools in reaching the goals you have set for your product. The team we have allows us to design mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic systems: mains powered or battery operated, tethered or wireless communication, implanted or external systems. For prototype development, we scope the project to meet your goals: Demonstrate functional feasibility?  Use to solicit clinician or patient feedback? Help tell your story to investors? 

Understanding the purpose of the prototype helps us scale the project and helps you take your product to the next step.
